Boys Track and Field Roundup: Clear Creek Amana, Solon Tie For Second at Williamsburg Invitational

Clear Creek Amana and Solon tied for second behind team champion Cedar Rapids Prairie at the Williamsburg Co-Ed Invitational on a rainy evening at Williamsburg on Tuesday.
Solon and Clear Creek Amana each finished with 92 points, four behind the team champion Hawks at the 15-team invitational.
Liberty High had 17 points to finished 13th while Regina had 13 points in a 14th place finish.
Clear Creek Amana won three individual events with Ben Swails, Harrison Rosenebrg and Keyan Gisleson all claiming individual titles.
Swails won the long jump with a mark of 19-10 ½, Rosenberg won the 110 hurdles in 15.81 and Gisleson won the 400 hurdles in 57.98.
The Clippers also got a runner-up finish from Gavin Zillyette in the 800 and finished runner-up in five relays.
Clear Creek Amana was second in the 4×100, 4×200, 4×400, sprint medley and distance medley relays.
Solon won a pair of relay titles on Tuesday in its way to a runner-up finish.
Grant Knipper, Rhett Mesch, Jeremy Bachus and Michael Yeomans teamed up to win the distance medley in a time of 3:50.13 and Bachus, Mesch, Austin Knight and Jacob Timmons won the 4×400 relay in 3:36.41.
Aidan O’Neill led Regina finished third in the 1,600 in 4:52.16 and was fourth in the 3,200 in 10:17.48.
