City High won seven events highlighted by six individual first-place finishes in a strong showing at the Mount Pleasant Invitational on Friday in Mount Pleasant.

Five different City High athletes combined to win six individual events on Friday.

Truman Thompson was the lone two-event individual winner for the Little Hawks claiming titles in the 400 in a time of 53.18 and the 3,200 in 9:40.6.

Taeson McDaniels and Matt Schaeckenbach each won individual titles and added individual runner-up finishes for City High.

McDaniels won the discus with a toss of 144-11 and added a runner-up finish in the shot put with a mark of 49-7 ½.

Schaeckenbach won the 400 hurdles in 56.91 and was runner-up in the high jump clearing 6-2.

Ayman Noreldaim won the 800 in 1:58.22 and Jovan Harris claimed the title in the 200 in 22.33.

Ammon Smith was runner-up in the 1,600 in 4:32.33 while Schaeckenbach was third in the 110 hudles in 15.78.

Mike Rew was third in the 100 in 11.91 and Ostyn Friday was third in the shot put and fifth in the discus.

City High won the distance medley relay in 3:31.43 and was runner-up in the shuttle hurdle relay in 1:04.13 and the 4×800 in a time of 8:49.05.
