Solon opened the season with a bang on Monday scoring 10 goals in a season-opening win over West Delaware in a WAMAC East Division contest at Spartan Field.

The Spartans jumped to a 7-0 lead in the opening half and rolled to a 10-0 win in the season-opening for both teams on a chilly evening in Solon.

Junior Morgan Link led the charge for Solon scoring four goals as five different Spartans found the net on Monday.

Freshman Rose McAtee had three goals in her varsity debut while sophomore Gabby Knipper had a goal and two assists and Tali Radcliffe had a goal.

Freshman Addie Greene added a goal for the Spartans and freshman Silvie Hendricks had an assist for Solon.
