West High, City High and Liberty High All Put Players on MVC All-divisional First Teams

The City High, Liberty High and West High girls basketball teams all enjoyed highly successful seasons.
City High claimed a ninth consecutive Mississippi Valley Conference divisional title in the Mississippi Division.
West High snagged a share of the Valley Division championship and Liberty High set a bevy of program records including conference wins and total wins while posting its first winning season.
On Wednesday all three teams began to rake in individual accolades for a season filled with team success.
City High had five players earn MVC all-division honors including a pair of first-team selections while Liberty High and West High each had four players earn all-division honors.
Senior Eviyon Richardson and junior Kelsey Joens were both unanimous first-team picks for City High in the Mississippi Division.
Joens ranked third among all MVC players in scoring with 21.6 points per game and added 6.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists.
Richardson averaged 15.9 points and a team-leading 7.9 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game for City High.
Senior Andie Westlake was a second-team Mississippi Division pick after posting 11.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.
Freshman Emmy McComas and senior Georgia Kimm were both honorable mention selections for City High.
Liberty High junior Jasmine Barney was a unanimous first-team Mississippi Division pick after leading the Lightning in points, rebounds, assists and steals in her first season at Liberty High.
Barney averaged 18.4 points, 6.9 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.8 steals per game.
Junior Ava Meyer was a second-team selection after averaging 7.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game and juniors Avery Gaudet and Kennedy Daugherty were each honorable mention picks.
West High junior Meena Tate was a unanimous first-team selection in the Valley Division.
Tate led the Trojans in points (15.3), assists (3.2) and steals (2.1) and also averaged 3.6 rebounds per game.
Junior Anna Prouty was also named to the Valley Division first team after averaging 10.7 points and a team-high 9 rebounds per game.
Sophomore Melae’ Lacy and junior Keiko Ono-Fullard were each honorable mention picks for the Trojans.
West High head coach BJ Mayer was named Valley Division coach of the year.
