Clear Creek Amana opened the postseason with a 68-54 win over Fairfield in a Class 3A, Substate 5 quarterfinal on Monday in Tiffin.

Ben Swails poured in 23 points and Kyle Schrepfer added 17 points, four steals and four assists as Clear Creek Amana improved to 15-7 on the season and advanced to the Substate 5 semifinals.

Clear Creek Amana will face eighth-ranked Fort Madison (18-4) in a semifinal on Thursday in Fort Madison.

Fort Madison defeated Oskaloosa 70-60 in a quarterfinal on Monday.

Grant Kruse had 13 points and nine rebounds for Clear Creek Amana on Monday while Harrison Rosenberg added 11 points, three assists and two blocks.
