Girls Basketball Roundup: Solon Stretches Win Streak to Six With Win Over Burlington in Regional Opener

After ending the regular season red-hot Solon picked up where it left off in the postseason on Wednesday.
Solon raced to a 55-4 halftime lead on its way to a 70-9 win over Burlington in a Class 4A, Region 5 quarterfinal in Solon.
Callie Levin had a game-high 15 points and 13 different Spartans scored as Solon improved to 15-7 on the season with its sixth consecutive win.
Solon will travel to No. 13 Benton Community (17-5) for a Region 5 semifinal on Saturday in Van Horne.
The Spartans defeated Benton Community 71-62 in the regular season finale for both teams on Monday.
Burlington closed the season 0-20.
Mia Stahle had eight points, Ava Stebral and Hailey Miller each had seven and Claire LaDage and Makinley Levin each had six for the Spartans.
Anna Quillin had five points for Solon.
