Girls Basketball Roundup: West Branch Senior Luneckas Ties Single-game Rebounding Record In Win Over Tipton

Class 2A No. 14 West Branch got back on track with a 51-20 win over Tipton on Tuesday in a River Valley Conference South Division matchup in Tipton.
West Branch improved to 13-4 on the season and 11-3 in RVC play while Tipton dropped to 2-15 on the year and 2-13 in conference games.
A night after falling to Solon in a non-conference contest the Bears got back in the win column holding Tipton to single digit scoring in all four quarters.
West Branch led 28-8 at the half and outscored the Tigers 18-7 in the third quarter.
Freshman August Palmer had a game-high 19 points and had six rebounds and four steals for West Branch.
Senior Delaynie Luneckas had 16 points and tied her older sister Kaiya Luneckas for the single-game school record with 23 rebounds.
Luneckas also blocked six shots and had two assists in the win.
Iva Senio had five points and six rebounds, Kylie Pickett had three points, three rebound sand three steals and Avery Schultes had three points, eight rebounds and two assists.
