Girls Basketball Roundup: Regina Extends Winning Streak to Five With Win Over Mid-Prairie

Class 2A eighth-ranked Regina stretched its winning streak to five with a 52-31 victory over Mid-Prairie on Tuesday in a River Valley Conference South Division matchup in Iowa City.
Regina improved to 14-3 on the season and 14-1 in RVC play and retained a two-game lead in the RVC South Division standings with four games to play.
Mid-Prairie had a five-game winning streak snapped with the loss and dropped to 11-6 on the season and 11-5 in RVC games.
Senior forward Lily Simpson had 14 points, nine rebounds, five assists and four steals to lead Regina.
Freshman Morgan Miller had 14 points, six rebounds and three assists and Grace Gaarde had eight points, five assists and four rebounds.
Alli Dillon added eight points and three rebounds and Alli Clark had six points and seven rebounds for the Regals.
Maddie Nonnenmann led Mid-Prairie with 17 points and six rebounds.
