Girls Basketball Roundup: CR Xavier Hands City High Second Straight Loss

Class 4A seventh-ranked Cedar Rapids Xavier handed City High its second road loss in as many days with a 61-50 win over the Little Hawks in a Mississippi Valley Conference cross-divisional matchup in Cedar Rapids on Saturday afternoon.
Cedar Rapids Xavier improved to 11-4 on the season with the win while Class 5A second-ranked City High dropped to 11-2.
Kelsey Joens led City High with 20 points while Eviyon Richardson had 13 for the Little Hawks.
Bella Cooley had seven points and Georgia Kimm and Andie Westlake each had four for City High.
Libby Fandel had a game-high 26 points to pace Cedar Rapids Xavier while Mary Kate Moeder and Lexi Beier each had 11.
