Girls Basketball Roundup: West High Shuts Down CR Prairie For Third Consecutive Win

Class 5A seventh-ranked Wet High pushed its winning streak to three with a 42-26 win over Cedar Rapids Prairie on Tuesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference cross-divisional matchup in Iowa City.
Anna Prouty had a double-double with 12 points and 16 rebounds and West High outscored the Hawks 27-18 after halftime while improving to 10-2 on the season.
Cedar Rapids Prairie dropped to 4-8 with the loss.
Melae’ Lacy had 11 points and nine rebounds and Meena Tate added nine points, five assists and four rebounds for the Trojans.
Keiko Ono-Fullard had eight points and three steals in the win.
