City High crowned three champions on its way to a fifth-place finish at the J-Hawk Invitational on Saturday at Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids.

Sophomores Cale Seaton and Kael Kurtz and junior Ben Kueter all won individual titles for City High as the Little Hawks finished with 180.5 points.

Pleasant Valley won the team title with 242.5 points followed by Dubuque Hempstead with 202, Cedar Falls with 194 and Fort Madison with 193.5.

Third-ranked Seaton (24-2) went 3-0 on Saturday posting a pair of pins and a tech fall on his way to the 120-pound title.

Seaton pinned Logan Pennock of Fort Madison in 2:58 in the championship match.

Class 3A fifth-ranked Kurtz (24-3) need a semifinal pin and a 20-5 tech fall over Pleasant Valley freshman Duncan Harn to win the 126-pound title.

Top-ranked Kueter had two pins and a tech fall on his way to the 220-pound championship.

Kueter (20-0) pinned No. 12 Evan Franke of Muscatine in 2:21 in the championship match.

Jake Mitchell was third at 138 pounds for City High while Ari Collins was fifth at 152 and Nick Marker was fifth at 182.
