Girls Basketball Roundup: Fifth-ranked West High Bounces Back With Road Win at Dubuque Hempstead

Class 5A fifth-ranked West High bounced back from a loss to second-ranked Waterloo West on Friday with a 62-39 win over Dubuque Hempstead on Tuesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference Valley Division contest in Dubuque.
Anna Prouty led four players in double figures with 14 points as West High improved to 8-2 on the season.
Dubuque Hempstead dropped to 5-7 with the loss.
Meena Tate and Carolyn Pierce each had 13 points for West High while Melae’ Lacy added 11 for the Trojans.
Jaelyn Tigges led Dubuque Hempstead with 14 points and Chandler Houselog added 11.
