Class 4A No. 13 Solon cut a double-digit fourth-quarter deficit to one point in the final minute but could not complete the come back falling to Marion 41-39 in a WAMAC East Division matchup in Marion.

Solon dropped to 3-5 with the loss while Marion improved to 3-3 on the season.

Callie Levin led Solon with 13 points while Kaia Holtkamp added 11 and Ava Stebral had eight for the Spartans.

Ella Bockenstedt had a game-high 15 points to lead Marion.
