Girls Basketball Roundup: Joens Pours in 32 Points to Pace City High in Win at Dubuque Hempstead

Kelsey Joens poured in a game-high 32 points to lift Class 5A third-ranked City High to a 68-48 win over Dubuque Hempstead on Tuesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference cross-divisional matchup in Dubuque.
Joens led a trio of City High scorers in double figures as the Little Hawks improved to 4-0 on the season and in MVC play.
Dubuque Hempstead dropped to 1-5 with the loss.
Eviyon Richardson had 17 points and Bella Cooley added 10 for City High while Andie Westlake chipped in with five.
