Girls Basketball Roundup: City High Rallies for Win Over Second-ranked Waterloo West

The best win of the young season may just belong to City High.
The Little Hawks can certainly stake their claim to the biggest comeback for a team this year.
Class 5A third-ranked City High rallied from a 12-point half-time deficit to stun second-ranked Waterloo West 48-46 in a Mississippi Valley Conference showdown in Iowa City.
Kelsey Joens scored a game-high 23 points and Andie Westlake added 10 as City High improved to 3-0 on the season.
Waterloo West got 21 points each from junior guards Sahara Williams and Halli Poock but the rest of the WaHawks combined for just four points as Waterloo West dropped to 3-1.
City High trailed 17-5 after the opening quarter and 30-18 at the half but used a 20-point fourth quarter to complete the comeback.
Eviyon Richardson and Bella Cooley each added six points for City High.
