City High Senior Setter Ribble Commits to Central College

After four seasons running the City High offense senior setter Makayla Ribble has settled on where she will be setting up teammates in the future.
A four-year starter at setter Ribble announced her commitment to continue her volleyball career at Central College in Pella on Friday with a post on social media.
“I’m extremely excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and volleyball career at Central College,” Ribble wrote on Twitter. “Thank you so much to all my teammates, coaches, friends and family who have been by my side through this journey. Excited for the next chapter.”
The 5-foot-7 Ribble capped a stellar career with a strong senior season in which she posted career highs in assists, kills, digs and ace serves while leading City High to a 20-15 record and a spot in a Class 5A regional final.
Ribble ranked fifth in Class 5A with 8 assists per set this fall while handing out a career high 739 assists.
A Mississippi Valley Conference all-Mississippi Division second-team pick Ribble had 98 kills, 252 digs and a team-high 34 ace serves as a senior.
Ribble closed her career with 1,959 assists, 800 digs and 112 ace serves.
Central College is a member of the American Rivers Conference and went 15-13 last season including a 4-4 record in ARC play.
