Solon snapped a two-game losing streak with a 58-23 win over Vinton-Shellsburg on Friday in a WAMAC Conference cross-divisional matchup in Solon.
The Spartans raced to a 34-10 halftime lead while improving to 2-2 on the season while Vinton-Shellsburg dropped to 0-4 with the loss.
Brady Mullen paced Solon with 13 points while Jacob Timmons and Oaken Foster each added seven for the Spartans.
Blake Timmons had five points as 11 different Solon players scored.
