City High Fifth in First Associated Press Boys Basketball Poll of the Season

City High started the season with back-to-back wins last week.
On Monday the Little Hawks found themselves in the top-five of the first Associated Press boys basketball poll of the season.
City High (2-0) is fifth in the initial Class 4A poll trailing top-ranked Johnson, Ames, West Des Moines Valley and Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln.
West High was among the teams receiving votes in the 4A poll.
Other top-ranked teams in the initial poll are Ballard (3A), Western Christian (2A) and North Linn (1A).
