Liberty High Juniors Hartman and Kimm Highlight Area IGCA All-state Selections

For the third consecutive season Cassidy Hartman was part of the best season in Liberty High volleyball history.
Hartman helped the Lightning to a third consecutive state tournament appearance, a school-record tying 34 wins and a Mississippi Valley Conference divisional title.
For the third straight season Hartman was rewarded for her efforts with a spot on the Iowa Girls Coaches Association all-state team.
Hartman was named to the nine-member elite team for the second straight season as well as earning first-team Class 5A all-state honors when the IGCA released its postseason awards on Wednesday.
The 6-foot Hartman had a team-high 423 kills and a career-high 400 digs helping Liberty High to a 34-5 record and a spot at the Class 5A state tournament.
A Northern Iowa commit, Hartman also had 48 blocks and 27 ace serves this season.
Teammate Shelby Kimm joined Hartman on the 5A first team after earning second-team honors a season ago.
A 6-0 junior, Kimm had a career-high 269 kills and 364 digs this season while collecting 30 blocks and leading the Lightning with 50 ace serves.
Senior libero Gabbie Schroeder was a second-team selection for the Lightning after leading Liberty High with 484 digs and adding 27 ace serves.
The trio of Liberty High all-staters highlighted a group of seven Your Prep Sports area athletes to earn all-state recognition.
Clear Creek Amana senior Calia Clubb and sophomore Bliss Beck were each honorable mention selections in Class 4A and Regina senior Lily Simpson and West Branch senior Lexi Klinkkammer were honorable mention picks in Class 2A.
Clubb led Clear Creek Amana in kills for the fourth consecutive season on her way to all-state honors, finishing with 340 kills.
The Illinois State signee was second on the team with 291 digs and had 35 blocks and 33 ace serves.
Beck earned all-state honors for the first time after a breakthrough sophomore season in which she had a career-high 306 kills and led Clear Creek Amana with 92 blocks.
Simpson earned all-state honors for the first time after leading Regina with 309 kills, 178 digs and 40 blocks and ranking second on the team with 38 ace serves.
Klinkkammer was an all-state selection after leading West Branch with 352 kills and 41 ace serves to go with 247 digs and 19 blocks.
