City High moved up one spot to fourth in the final Class 5A Associated Press football poll of the season released on Tuesday.

The Little Hawks closed the regular season 8-1 after a 63-7 win over Davenport Central last Thursday and trail only Cedar Rapids Kennedy, Southeast Polk and Ankeny in the Class 5A top four.

Solon (9-0) remained third  in the final Class 3A poll of the season behind top-ranked Harlan and number two Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley.

The final poll for classes 2A, 1A, A and 8-player was released last week with playoffs opening in those four classes last Friday.

Playoffs begin for Classes 5A, 4A and 3A on Friday.
