Alumni News is a way for readers to keep tabs on former area standouts as well as honoring those athletes that continue to excel at the next level.
Cam Miller
Solon graduate and current North Dakota State sophomore quarterback Cam Miller threw a pair of fourth-quarter touchdown passes to lead the Bison to a 27-20 win over Missouri State on Saturday.
Miller completed 7-of-9 passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns including a 24-yard go-ahead touchdown pass with 4:57 left.
Nick O’Connor
Clear Creek Amana graduate and current Indian Hills Community College sophomore Nick O’Connor led the Warriors to a runner-up finish at their own Invitational on October 15.
O’Connor finished seventh in a time of 26:17 in the 8-kilometer event to help tenth-ranked Indian Hills to the runner-up team finish.
Kiersten Conway
Former Solon standout and current Central College freshman Kiersten Conway helped Central to a third-place finish at the 23-team Tori Neubauer Invitational last week at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Conway finished 41st in a time of 23:32.97 and was one of five Central runners to finish in the top 41.
