Clear Creek Amana senior Gavin Zillyette is a four-time state qualifier.

Zillyette secured his fourth trip to the state cross country meet with a 10^th place finish at the Class 3A state qualifier at Central College in Pella on Wednesday.

An individual qualifier for the second consecutive season, Zillyette finished 10^th in a time of 17:19.91.

Pella won the team title with 57 points followed by Carlisle with 85 and Newton with 90.

Clear Creek Amana finished sixth with 149 points.

Newton senior Jackson Mace-Maynard won the individual title in a time of 16:21.34 while Chase Lauman of Pella was second in 16:32.36.

Brock Hilsman of Clear Creek Amana was 16^th in a time of 17:31.86 while Peyton Stadler was 38^th in 18:23.48.
