Regina’s Simpson, West Branch’s Klinkkammer Named to RVC Elite Volleyball Team

Each of the past two seasons Lexi Klinkkammer and Lily Simpson were selected to the River Valley Conference South Division volleyball team.
This season both players took their performance to another level and on Tuesday both saw their postseason honors move up a notch.
Simpson and Klinkkammer were each named to the RVC Elite team for the first time when the conference released its postseason honors.
The senior duo highlighted seven area athletes to earn all-conference recognition as West Branch had four players earn all-conference honors and Regina three.
Klinkkammer led West Branch with a career-high 317 kills while landing on the 13-member elite team that honors the top players from both the North and South Division for the first time in her career.
A two-time South Division squad member, Klinkkammer hit .359 this season ranked second on the team with 222 digs, third with 18 blocks and led the Bears with 40 ace serves.
Senior Delaynie Luneckas and junior Iva Senio were each named to the South Division team for West Branch.
A South Division selection last season as a sophomore, Senio ranked third on the team with 159 kills and added 84 digs, 11 blocks and 22 ace serves.
Luneckas earned South Division honors for the first time in her career after leading West Branch with 58 blocks and rankings second on the team with 174 kills.
Sophomore Alyse Klinkkammer earned honorable mention honors for West Branch.
Simpson highlighted a trio of Regina players to earn all-conference honors.
The senior led Regina with 299 kills while hitting .282 and also posted team highs of 169 digs, 35 blocks and 36 ace serves.
Senior Alli Dillon earned South Team honors for the first time in her career after ranking second on the team with 134 digs and fourth with 67 kills.
Dillon also had 16 ace serves and 11 blocks for the Regals.
Senior Peyton Naeve was a South Division honorable mention selection.
