A strong showing at the WAMAC Conference meet last week helped Clear Creek Amana jump three spots in the most recent Class 3A girls cross country rankings released on Tuesday by the Iowa Association of Track Coaches.

Clear Creek Amana climbed to No. 14 in the Class 3A rankings after finishing third at the WAMAC meet last week, it’s highest ever finish since joining the conference.

Solon remained number one in the Class 3A rankings while City High held its spot at No. 13 and Liberty High remained No. 18 in the Class 4A rankings.

West High moved up one spot to No. 14 in Class 4A while Regina remained seventh in Class 1A.

Other top-ranked teams this week remained the same with Pleasant Valley (4A), Mid-Prairie (2A) and Logan-Magnolia (1A) retaining the top spots.
