City High moved up two spots in the most recent Class 5A Associated Press football poll released on Tuesday afternoon.

The Little Hawks set a single-game school scoring record in a 76-0 win over Davenport West last Friday and returned to the top five this week joining top-ranked Cedar Rapids Kennedy, Southeast Polk, Urbandale and Ankeny in the top five spots in 5A.

City High (7-1) closes the regular season on Thursday at Davenport Central.

Solon (8-0) remained third in the Class 3A poll and will close the regular season by hosting Keokuk on Friday.

Regina (8-0) dropped one spot to fourth in the 1A poll and will open postseason play on Friday hosting Cascade in the opening round.

Other top-ranked teams this week include North Scott (4A), Harlan (3A), OABCIG (2A), Van Meter (1A), West Hancock (A), CAM (8-player).
