Solon remained atop the most recent girls cross country rankings released by the Iowa Association of Track Coaches on Tuesday.

The Spartans lead a Class 3A top five that also includes Western Dubuque, Ballard, Dallas Center-Grimes and Spencer.

City High moved up one spot to No. 13 in the Class 4A rankings while West High dropped three spots to No. 15 and Liberty High dropped two spots to No. 18.

Clear Creek Amana remained at No. 17 in the 3A rankings and Regina dropped one spot to seventh in the 1A rankings.

Other top-ranked teams this week are Pleasant Valley (4A), Mid-Prairie (2A) and Logan-Magnolia (1A).
