Solon and Regina held their spots at third in their respective classes in the most recent Associated Press football poll released on Tuesday.

Regina (7-0) remained third in the Class 1A poll, following top-ranked Van Meter and number two Underwood.

Solon (7-0) held its spot at third in the 3A rankings behind top-ranked Harlan and number two Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley.

City High dropped five spots to seventh in the Class 5A poll following a loss to now ninth-ranked Pleasant Valley last Friday.

Liberty High (2-5) was among the teams that received votes in the 4A poll.

Other top-ranked teams this week are Cedar Rapids Kennedy (5A), North Scott (4A), Southeast Valley (2A), West Hancock (A) and CAM (8-player).
