Solon had a pair of runners finish in the top six while placing third in a strong field at the Lynx Invitational on Saturday in Troy Mills.

Brick Kabela finished fourth and Gabe Hinman was sixth to lead Class 3A sixth-ranked Solon to a third-place team finish with 94 points.

Class 3A second-ranked Marion had three runners finish in the top seven and rolled to the team title with 47 points.

2A second-ranked Tipton was runner-up with 90 points followed by Solon, 2A third-ranked Williamsburg with 129 and 1A third-ranked Maquoketa Valley with 159.

The top eight teams were all ranked with 1A No. 12 Regina finishing eighth with 217 points.

Kabela was fourth in a time of 16:37 while Hinman was right behind at sixth in a time of 16:46.

Michael Yeomans placed 19^th in 17:25 and Ty Becicka was 27^th in a time of 17:54 for Solon.

Aidan O’Neil led Regina placing ninth in a time of 16:55 while Joe Maley was 40^th in 18:15 for the Regals.

Lance Sobaski of Washington won the individual title in 16:05 while Jedidiah Osgood of Marion was second in 16:09 and Marion’s Shane Erb was third in 16:27.
