City High continued its steady rise in the football rankings this fall with another climb in the Class 5A rankings on Tuesday

The Little Hawks jumped one spot to second in Class 5A in the most recent Associated Press poll that was released Tuesday.

City High (6-0) joins top-ranked Cedar Rapids Kennedy (6-0) as the lone remaining unbeaten teams in the state’s largest class and will travel to Pleasant Valley (4-2) on Friday.

Clear Creek Amana and Solon each held their spot in the Associated Press poll this week while Regina climbed one spot in the 1A poll.

Solon (6-0) remained third in the 3A poll and Clear Creek Amana (5-1) held its spot at No. 10 in the 4A poll.

Regina (6-0) moved up one spot to third in the 1A poll.

Other top-ranked teams this week are North Scott (4A), Harlan (3A), Southeast Valley (2A), Van Meter (1A), West Hancock (A) and CAM (8-player).
