Regina Routs Wilton for Second Consecutive Win Over Unbeaten Opponent

For the second consecutive week Regina knocked off an unbeaten district opponent in impressive fashion.
Jack Tierney passed for a career-high 204 yards and two touchdowns and Levi Daniel ran for 132 yards and three scores as Class 1A third-ranked Regina rolled past previously unbeaten Wilton 35-7 on Friday in a District 5 meeting of unbeatens in Wilton.
A week after shutting out Mediapolis 34-0 in its district opener the Regals took control of the District 5 race on Friday improving to 5-0 on the season and 2-0 in district play.
Wilton dropped to 4-1 on the season and 1-1 in district play with the loss.
Tierney tossed a pair of scoring strikes to Carson Jensen as Regina rolled up 368 yards of total offense.
Regina led 28-0 at the half.
Tierney completed 11-of-21 passes for 204 yards with Jensen hauling in six passes for 145 yards and two scores.
The junior quarterback also rushed for 32 yards.
Daniel posted his fourth consecutive 100-yard game and pushed his season touchdown total to nine with his three rushing touchdowns.
Aidan Udell led a strong Regina defensive effort with 7.5 tackles while Josh Gaffey had 6.5 tackles and two sacks.
Chris Waikel had 6.5 tackles while Daniel and Ronan Poynton each had six tackles and Blake Chambliss had five stops and a sack.
Steven Liu had an interception for Regina.
