West High won five events on its way to claiming the team title at the Kennedy Cougar Invitational on Saturday in Cedar Rapids.

Jade Roghair won a pair of individual titles and helped West High win two relays as the Trojans pulled away from the field to win the nine-team meet with 538 points.

Host Cedar Rapids Kennedy was runner-up with 475 points followed by Johnston with 385, Pleasant Valley with 303.5 and Linn-Mar with 255. City High was seventh with 98 points.

Roghair won the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle and helped the Trojans to wins in the 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relays.

The junior won the 200 freestyle in 1:55.02 and took the 500 freestyle in 5:08.14.

Roghair joined Ella Hochstetler, Olivia Taeger and Lauren Trent on the 200 freestyle relay team that won in 1:40.49.

Taeger, Roghair, Kolby Reese and Makala Hajek combined to win the 400 freestyle relay in 3:40.05.

Sam Klein added a title in the 1-meter diving competition winning with a score of 430.2.

Reese, Hajek and Taeger all added individual runner-up finishes.

Hajek was runner-up in the 200 IM in 2:12.86 and Taeger was runner-up in the 100 freestyle in 54.92.

Reese placed second in the 200 freestyle in 1:58.25.

City High freshman Grace Hoeper won a pair of individual titles claiming the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly.

Hoeper won the 50 freestyle in 24.68 and the 100 butterfly in a time of 59.79.
