Boys Cross Country Roundup: Kabela, Hinman Finish 1-2 at Anamosa Invitational

What a week for the Solon cross country combo of Brick Kabela and Gabe Hinman.
For the second time in six days Kabela and Hinman finished first and second in a race with the Spartan tandem taking the top two spots at the 46th Anamosa Invitational on Saturday at the Anamosa Middle School.
Kabela claimed his second individual title of the week on Saturday winning the event in a time of 16:42.
The sophomore won the individual title at the Solon Invitational on Monday in a time of 17:04.
Just as he did on Monday, Hinman was runner-up to Kabela on Saturday placing second in a time of 16:51.
The 1-2 finish from Kabela and Hinman helped Class 3A fifth-ranked Solon finish runner-up in the team standings with 78 points.
Class 2A second-ranked Tipton won the team title with 40 points while Maquoketa Valley was third with 117, Bellevue was fourth with 179 and Cedar Rapids Jefferson was fifth with 183.
Sophomore Michael Yeomans placed 19th for Solon in 17:50 while Ty Becicka finished 27th in a time of 18:21.
