A week after entering the girls cross country rankings for the first time this season Clear Creek Amana is one the rise.

After making its season debut at No. 20 in the Class 3A rankings last week Clear Creek Amana jumped four spots to No. 16 in the most recent rankings released on Tuesday by the Iowa Association of Track Coaches.

Solon remained atop the Class 3A rankings for the second consecutive week after moving up from second last week.

City High is No. 12 in Class 4A while West High is No. 14 and Liberty High is No. 17. Regina held its spot at fifth in the Class 1A rankings.

Other top-ranked teams this week remained the same with Des Moines Roosevelt atop the 4A rankings, Mid-Prairie No. 1 in Class 2A and South Winneshiek topping the 1A rankings.
