City High continued its climb up the Class 5A football ladder on Tuesday.

Following a win over perennial power West Des Moines Dowling last Friday the Little Hawks rose in the Associated Press poll for the second consecutive week on Tuesday coming in at third in 5A poll.

City High (4-0) trailed on Cedar Rapids Kennedy (4-0) and Ankeny (3-1) in the rankings released on Tuesday.

Solon (4-0) remained third in the Class 3A poll while Regina held its spot at third in the Class 1A poll.

Clear Creek Amana (3-1) received votes in the Class 4A poll for the first time this season.

Top-ranked teams this week are Cedar Rapids Kennedy (5A), North Scott (4A), Harlan (3A), Spirit Lake (2A), Van Meter (1A), West Hancock (A) and CAM (8-player)
