City High split four matches at its home tournament on Saturday going 2-2 at the Little Hawk Tournament on Saturday in Iowa City.

The Little Hawks defeated 5A No. 13 Dubuque Hempstead (21-10, 21-19) and 4A No. 12 Council Bluffs Lewis Central (21-15, 21-10)

City High fell to 5A No. 7 Ankeny Centennial (21-11, 21-16) and Bettendorf (17-21, 24-22, 15-13).

Senior setter Makayla Ribble had 79 assists, seven kills and two ace serves for the Little Hawks while sophomore Claire Ernst had a team-high 29 kills on the day to go with 12 digs and three ace serves.

Freshman Emma McComas has 14 kills and 26 digs and Sara Cassady had 10 kills.

Morgan Turner added 20 digs and five ace serves for the Little Hawks.
