Regina Scores 34 Unanswered Points in Win at West Liberty

Regina shrugged off a slow start and rolled past West Liberty 34-6 on Friday in a non-district contest at Memorial Field in West Liberty.
Sophomore Gentry Dumont passed for 168 yards and a touchdown and Levi Daniel ran for 128 yards and two scores as Regina improved to 2-0 on the season.
Regina trailed 6-0 after one quarter but scored the final 34 points of the game forcing West Liberty (0-2) into five turnovers.
West Liberty took an early 6-0 lead on a one-yard touchdown run by Drake Collins with 24 seconds left in the opening quarter.
Regina responded as Jack Tierney found Blake Chambliss with a 10-yard touchdown pass.
It was all Regina the rest of the way.
Daniel scored a pair of touchdowns and Dumont hit Chambliss for a 34-yard scoring strike as Regina rattled off 34 unanswered points.
Dumont finished 13-of-23 for 168 yards and a score while Tierney threw a touchdown pass and ran for 109 yards on eight carries and also caught a 12-yard pass.
Regina racked up 262 rushing yards on 38 carries and finished with 440 yards of total offense.
Seven different Regals caught a pass led by Chambliss with three receptions for 51 yards and two scores and Sam Aitchison with three receptions for 29 yards.
Sophomore Jackson Naeve caught two passes for 44 yards and Carson Jensen had two grabs for 28 yards.
Jensen picked off two passes while Daniel and Tierney each had an interception and senior Aidan Udell recovered a fumble to lead the Regina take away parade.
Aitchison had a team-high 7.5 tackles, while Udell had seven stops.
