West High had three of the top three finishers and raced to the team title at the Williamsburg Invite on Tuesday at the Williamsburg Recreation Center.

Alex McKane won the individual title and teammate Seth Cheney was third as Class 4A No. 12 West High won the team title with 55 points.

Class 3A No. Mount Vernon-Lisbon was runner-up with 71 points followed by 2A No. 6 Williamsburg with 93 points.

McKane pulled away from the pack early and won the individual title by nearly a minute, finishing 58 seconds in front of runner-up Patrick DeRonde of Oskaloosa in a winning time of 16:15.

Cheney was third in a time of 17:16.7 while teammate Asher Overholt placed 10^th in 17:58.9.

Caden Noeller added a 14^th place finish for West High in 18:15.8.
