City High went 1-2 at the Johnston quadrangular on Thursday falling to Class 5A No. 7 Johnston and 4A No. 7 Marion and defeating Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln.

The Little Hawks dropped a 25-17, 25-18 match to host Johnston and fell to Marion 25-14, 26-24 before defeating Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln 25-20, 25-16 to move to 2-2 on the season.

Claire Ernst had 13 kills and three ace serves to lead the Little Hawks while Emmy McComas had 12 kills.

Sara Cassady added 10 kills, Makayla Ribble had 28 assists and three ace serves and Lauren Koch had four aces for the Little Hawks.
