Owen Larson placed eighth to lead West High to a fifth-place team finish at its own 9^th annual Trojan Blue Top Ridge Golf Invite on Monday at Blue Top Ridge Golf Course in Riverside.

Larson fired a 79 to pace West High which finished one stroke in front of cross-town rival Liberty High with a 344.

Johnston won the team title with a 303, easily outdistancing runner-up Pleasant Valley by 15 strokes.

Burlington was third with a 323 followed by Dubuque Wahlert with a 330.

Cole Eberly shot an 86 to place 22^nd for West High while Brady Simcox was 25^th with an 88.

JJ Grimm led Liberty High with an 81 and finished 11^th as four golfers shot 81 on Monday.

Tate Brunk finished 21^st with an 86 and Ben Schaffer was 24^th with an 88 for the Lightning.

Pleasant Valley senior Nathan Tillman shot a 73 to win the individual title by one stroke over Nate Spear of Burlington and teammate Sam Johnson.
