The Solon lineup was among the most productive in Class 3A this season ranking in the top five in 3A in hits, runs and team batting average.

A scary thought for opponents is the Spartans could be even better going forward.

Three Solon players earned all-state honors from the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association on Tuesday and all three will be back in the Spartan lineup next season.

Sophomore Blake Timmons, freshman Brett White and junior Kinnick Pusteoska were all honored by the IHSBCA after stellar seasons that helped Solon to a 29-12 record and a spot in an appearance in a 3A substate final.

Timmons earned first-team honors as a second baseman while Pusteoska and White were each named to the 3A second team.

Timmons led Solon with a .431 batting average and 59 runs scored and had 17 extra-base hits and 27 RBI.

The sophomore infielder had a team-leading .582 on-base percentage and led Solon in walks (29), hit by pitch (17) and stolen bases (21).

Pusteoska hit .404 with a team-high six home runs and drove in 51 runs in 36 games while leading the Spartans with a .731 slugging percentage.

The junior first baseman had 21 extra-base hits and walked 23 times, scoring 36 runs and posting a .526 on-base percentage.

White hit .356 and led Solon with 23 extra-base hits, 18 doubles and 56 RBI.
