Solon had one of the most productive offenses in all of Class 3A this season.

A couple of key cogs in the Spartan offensive machine picked up some big postseason honors on Tuesday.

Sophomore Blake Timmons and freshman Brett White each earned Class 3A all-state honors from the Iowa Print Sports Writers Association on Monday the group released its all-state teams.

Timmons was named to the 3A second team while White was a 3A third team pick after the duo helped Solon to a 29-12 record and a substate final berth.

Timmons hit a team-high .431 while leading Solon with 53 hits, 59 runs, 29 BB and a .582 on-base percentage.

The sophomore infielder had 17 extra-base hits and drove in 27 runs and also posted a 5-2 record and 2.05 ERA with 51 strikeouts in 44 1/3 innings pitch.

White hit .356 in his second season as a varsity starter with a team-high 18 doubles and 56 RBI to go with 45 runs scored.
