Postseason Baseball Roundup: Fourth-ranked Mid-Prairie Stops Regina in District Semifinal

Fourth-ranked Mid-Prairie jumped to an early lead and rolled to a 10-0 win over Regina on Tuesday in a Class 2A, District 11 semifinal in Wellman.
Mid-Prairie scored twice in the first inning and added three in the second while improving to 18-7 on the season and advancing to the District 11 title game where it will host Williamsburg (18-14) on Saturday at 7 p.m.
Williamsburg defeated Mediapolis 13-0 in five innings in the other semifinal.
Regina closes the season 14-15.
Mid-Prairie outhit the Regals nine to four and was led by Aidan Rath who had a double, a triple, an RBI and a run scored.
Rath also earned the win allowing just one hit while striking out seven in three innings.
