Clear Creek Amana and Solon Each Have Seven Players Earn WAMAC All-Division Honors

Following a memorable regional final win that came complete with an epic comeback on Tuesday evening the Clear Creek Amana softball team got more good news on Wednesday.
Clear Creek Amana has seven players earn all-WAMAC divisional honors, including a trio of first-team honorees, when the conference released its postseason awards on Wednesday.
Senior Gabrielle Bedford, junior Bailey Olerich and sophomore Ashley Webb were all West Division first team picks while sophomores Olivia Miller and Avery Allan earned second-team honors for the Clippers.
Webb was a unanimous first-team selection following a breakthrough season in which the sophomore ranked as one of the most effective pitchers in Class 4A.
The left-handed Webb went 17-5 with a 1.12 ERA and .72 WHIP while striking out 158 in a team-high 150 2/3 innings.
Bedford was a first-team pick as an infielder after the senior shortstop put together the best season of her career.
She hit .429 with a team-high six home runs and 37 RBI and had the game-winning hit in the regional final, a two-run double to right field.
Olerich was a first-team honoree as an outfielder after a junior season in which she established herself as one of the best leadoff hitters in 4A.
Olerich hit a team-high .473, scored 31 runs and stole 33 bases while driving in 15 runs.
Miller was a second-team pick as an infielder after hitting .300 with 23 runs scored and 17 RBI while Allan hit .394 with three home runs and 33 RBI on her way to being a second-team outfield pick.
Senior Kaitlyn LeFleuer catcher and freshman infielder Reese Stockman were both honorable mention honorees for Clear Creek Amana.
Solon also had seven players earn all-division honors highlighted by four Spartans earning East Division first-team honors.
Senior catcher Sarah Heick, senior outfielder Monet Barnhouse, junior first baseman Camryn Keith and sophomore shortstop Hilary Wilson all earned first team honors for Solon.
Freshman pitcher Kendall Jensen was a second-team selection and junior Tiffany Primmer and eighth-grader Izzy Frees were both honorable mention picks for the Spartans.
Heick earned first team honors at catcher after hitting .589 with eight home runs and 56 RBI while Wilson hit .548 with 28 extra-base hits including seven home runs and 47 RBI.
Keith batted .515 with eight home runs and 55 RBI while earning first team utility honors and Barnhouse hit .488 with two home runs and 35 RBI.
Jensen posted a 15-8 record and 2.04 ERA while striking out 70 in 113 1/3 innings to earn second-team East Division honors.
