Class 5A No. 11 Liberty High swept Linn-Mar in a Mississippi Valley Conference Mississippi Division doubleheader on Monday at Oak Ridge Middle School.

Liberty High won the opener 2-1 in eight innings and took the nightcap 8-2 while improving to 24-13 on the season and 20-8 in MVC play.

Linn-Mar dropped to 25-11 and 20-10 in conference play.

Kinsley Robertson tossed a one-hitter to earn the win in the opener, striking out two and walking two while allowing just one unearned run.

Haley Schroeder had two hits including the go-ahead RBI bunt single in the eighth inning while Ashlyn Geasland doubled and Mischa Reiners had a hit.

Miranda Jones and McKenna Kelley each scored runs in the win.

Kennedy Daugherty earned the win in the nightcap allowing two runs on 10 hits while striking out four and walking three.

Daugherty went 3-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored to lead Liberty High while Robertson had two hits and scored a run.

Olivia Davenport and Eva Stewart each had two hits and drove in a run and Kyle Hamers went 3-for-3 with a run scored.

Raquel Trolliet and Reiners each had a hit and Brynlee Slockett had a hit and drove in a run.
