Softball Roundup: Clear Creek Amana Splits Doubleheader With West Delaware

Clear Creek Amana split a WAMAC cross-divisional doubleheader with Class 4A No. 12 West Delaware on Wednesday in Oxford winning the opener 6-2 and dropping the nightcap 8-2.
Ninth-ranked Clear Creek Amana moved to 24-5 on the season and 17-3 in WAMAC play while West Delaware is now 20-8 on the year and 11-7 in conference games.
Ashley Webb earned the win in the opener holding West Delaware to two runs on eight hits while striking out four without walking a batter.
Gabrielle Bedford and Avery Allan each homered for the Clippers with Allan driving in three runs and Bedford one.
Bailey Olerich and Reece Stockman each had a hit and scored a run in the opener while Webb had a hit and drove in a run.
Bliss Beck took the loss in game two allowing five runs on five hits while striking gout three and walking five in five innings.
Olerich had two hits and Mathis had two hits including a double and drove in a run.
Bedford had a hit and drove in a run and Olivia Miller had a hit and drew a walk.
Allan had a hit and scored a run and Ellie Crow added a single.
