City High, Solon Sixth in Latest IHSBCA Rankings

Solon made its season debut and City High moved up in the latest Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association rankings released on Monday.
City High (17-5) won six in a row to close last week after dropping the first game of a doubleheader to 3A second-ranked Dubuque Wahlert and climbed two spots to sixth in the most recent 4A rankings.
Solon (16-6) has won seven in a row and made its season debut at No. 6 in the Class 3A rankings.
Top-ranked teams this week are Pleasant Valley (4A), Marion (3A), Van Meter (2A) and Mason City Newman (1A).
