Baseball Roundup: Solon Sweeps West Delaware in WAMAC Doubleheader

Solon swept West Delaware in a WAMAC Conference East Division doubleheader on Thursday taking the opener 12-2 in six innings and winning the nightcap 7-6.
The Spartans improved to 14-6 on the season and 10-2 in WAMAC play with the sweep while West Delaware dropped to 6-12 and 4-6 in conference play.
Will Noonan earned the win in the opener holding the Hawks two one run on two hits while striking out two and walking two in five innings.
Kinnick Pusteoska went 4-for-4 with two doubles and a home run and drove in five runs to lead the Spartans.
Ben Cusick had two hits and scored three runs and Cade Chapman added two hits.
Jackson Ryan homered and drove in three runs and Brady Jeworrek and Blake Timmons each scored two runs.
Jeworrek earned the win in game two allowing six runs on five hits while striking out seven and walking three.
Austin Schwake worked 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief to earn the save.
Cusick had two hits and drove in a run while Gehrig Turner had a pair or hits and an RBI.
Carson Shive and Brett White each had a hit and drove in two runs and Timmons and Pusteoska had hits and scored two runs.
