Clear Creek Amana remained red-hot sweeping Vinton-Shellsburg in a WAMAC cross-divisional doubleheader on Tuesday in Oxford.
Class 4A No. 13 Clear Creek Amana won the opener 10-1 and took the nightcap 14-1 in three innings to improve to 16-3 on the season and 12-2 in WAMAC play.
The sweep gave the Clippers their 12th consecutive conference win and was the 16th win in the last 17 games for Clear Creek Amana.
Vinton-Shellsburg dropped to 6-13 on the season and 2-8 in WAMAC play.
Ashley Webb earned the win in game one allowing one run on three hits while striking out six and walking one in six innings.
Clear Creek Amana had 12 hits in the opener led by Gabrielle Bedford and Bailey Olerich with three this apiece.
Bedford was 3-for-4 with a double, a home run two RBI and three runs scored and Olerich was 3-for-4 with a triple and scored twice.
Reese Stockman had a hit and rove in two runs and Katelyn LeFleur had a hit and drove in three runs.
Ella Miller had two hits and Emma Mathis had a hit scored a run and drove in a run.
Clear Creek Amana took control of the nightcap with 10 runs in the first inning.
Kenadi Wood earned the win, allowing one run on three hits in two innings.
Avery Allan had two hits, drove in three runs and scored twice while Ellie Crow had two hits including a double, drove in a run and scored a run.
LeFleur, Olivia Miller and Hailey Frost had hits and drove in runs while Bedford and Stockman each doubled and scored a run.
