Class 5A eighth-ranked Liberty High split a pair of games with 3A fifth-ranked Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont on Saturday winning game one 7-4 and dropping the second game 3-1 in Eddyville.

Liberty High moved to 12-5 on the season while Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont is now 16-1.

Kara Maiers earned the win for Liberty High allowing four runs, three earned on eight hits while striking out eight and walking one.

Raquel Trolliet went 2-for-3 with a double, a home run and three RBI to lead Liberty High while Eva Stewart, Haley Schroeder and Kinsley Robertson had a hit, scored a run and drove in a run in the win.

Robertson took the loss in the second game allowing three runs, one earned, on five hits while striking out five without a walk.

Ashlyn Geasland and Stewart each had two hits while Geasland drove in a run. Kylie Hamers doubled and Olivia Davenport and Kennedy Daugherty each had hits.
