Solon’s doubleheader sweep of Dyersville Beckman started with a bang thanks to Camryn Keith.

It ended as a day the Solon junior first baseman will never forget.

Keith homered in four consecutive at bats in the first game and finished the doubleheader 6-for-7 with 11 RBI as Solon swept Dyersville Beckman 18-3 and 13-0 in a WAMAC East Division doubleheader in Dyersville.

Solon improved to 9-5 on the season and 6-4 in WAMAC play with the sweep while Dyersville Beckman dropped to 4-7 and 2-4 in WAMAC play.

The Spartans had seven home runs among its 34 hits in the doubleheader as Hilary Wilson homered in both games and Ava Stebral add a home run in the nightcap.

It was all about Keith in the opener.

The junior singled in the first inning and then homered in her final four plate appearances, launching home runs in the second, third, fourth and fifth innings.

Keith finished 5-for-5 with five runs scored and nine RBI in the game-one win and was one of five Spartans with at least three hits.

Izzy Frees went 4-for-4 and also picked up the win in the circle allowing three runs on five hits while striking out one and walking four.

Solon had more than enough offense as Stebral, Meghan O’Neill and Wilson all had three hits.

Wilson homered and drove in two runs while Stebral scored twice and O’Neill scored three runs.

Tiffany Primmer went 2-for-4 with a double and drove in four runs while Jada Buffington doubles, scored twice and drove in a run.

It was more of the same in game two as Solon hammered 10 hits in a five-inning win.

The Spartans scored in all 10 at bats in the double header and had multiple runs in nine or 10 trips to the plate.

Kendall Jensen earned the win in game two tossing four shutout innings allowing just three hits and striking out six.

Wilson went 2-for-3 with a double, a home run and four RBI and Keith was 1-for-2 with a double, three runs scored and two RBI.

Carly Ellison had two hits and scored two runs, Sarah Heick had a hit and drove in two runs and Stebral homered in the nightcap.

Buffington had a hit and scored a run and Jensen went 2-for-2.
